Volunteer Information
We all get together once a year for lunch and a good chat with friends
Erecting a marquee to place the life jackets under so that clients don't need to be out in the sun longer than necessary
Setting Up Chairs for Clients and their support workers
Launching on of our dinghies ready for sailing
You will be required to have or be willing to apply for a Blue Card
Previous experience is not required to volunteer.
These are some of the tasks we carry out:
Rigging the dinghies
Launching the dinghies
Fitting Life Jackets for the clients
Setting up marquees and chairs
Administration
Assisting on the pontoon with tying up the boats and helping clients in and out of the sailing dinghies
Winching sailors into dinghies
Operation of the Support Boat - a boat licence is an advantage
Sailing the dinghies. Previous sailing experience would be helpful, but training will be provided
